AEW star Dax Harwood, one-half of FTR, recently took to social media to announce his and Cash Wheeler’s attendance at the upcoming ROH Final Battle pay-per-view on December 15th in Garland, Texas. Harwood shared that this event marks the one-year anniversary of FTR’s legendary dog-collar war against The Briscoes, which also happened to be the final match of Jay Briscoe’s career.

Harwood expressed his excitement and nostalgia, stating, “Tops Guys. Dem Boys. Myself & Cash will be at Final Battle to celebrate the 2 Year Anniversary of the first-ever face-to-face meeting of FTR & the Briscoes, AND the 1 Year Anniversary of our greatest match ever, the Dog Collar match with Mark & Jay. It was the last match in our epic Trilogy w/ the Briscoes & the last time Cash & I saw Jay. Come celebrate this emotional night with us in Garland, TX on 12/15.”

The announcement holds significant sentimental value as it pays tribute to the late Jay Briscoe, who tragically passed away on January 17th after a severe car accident. Despite this heartbreaking loss, Jay’s brother Mark has continued to carry on the Briscoe legacy, competing in both Ring of Honor (ROH) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Currently, Mark is participating in the Continental Classic tournament.

Fans and wrestling enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating this emotional night of celebration and remembrance at ROH Final Battle. The event will not only commemorate the two-year anniversary of the first-ever face-to-face meeting between FTR and The Briscoes but also honor the one-year anniversary of the unforgettable Dog Collar match between the two teams.

The Dog Collar match is widely regarded as one of FTR’s greatest matches, showcasing their exceptional in-ring skills and intense rivalry with The Briscoes. This match marked the culmination of an epic Trilogy between the two teams and served as the last time Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler saw Jay Briscoe.
