It’s Up? WWE Gets Some Rather Positive Results From An Unexpected Place

It’s up. WWE is in a very different place than it was just a year ago. With Vince McMahon having let go of the company’s creative direction, WWE is now under a new regime. As a result, WWE has a more unique feeling to it and the business numbers are doing better. This includes fan interest, and now they have another location that seems to have received quite the boost.IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Been A Bit: WWE Star Loses Nine Month Streak On Monday Night Raw

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE sold over 9,000 tickets to a live event in Denver, Colorado over the weekend. Dave Meltzer said that he believed (he did not seem to have the numbers in front of him) the last time WWE presented Monday Night Raw in the same city, the attendance was 5,500. He went on to say that counting the walk-up, there could have been 10,000 tickets sold. This event did not feature Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens or Roman Reigns, but did feature Cody Rhodes.

Live events can be special. Check out what has happened at some over the years:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you do not see very often and WWE should be proud of what they accomplished here. Having a weaker lineup and still drawing some very good numbers is a great sign for what they are doing right now. Maybe it’s just a one off but that is a pretty strong sign and something that WWE could build upon in the future if they can keep the momentum going.

What do you think of the numbers? What is WWE doing right? Let us know in the comments below.
