Veteran WWE Superstar Robert Roode is making waves in the wrestling world once again. Despite not being in the ring, Roode is still a valuable asset to the WWE, as he is currently working as a producer for the company. This news comes as Roode is on the road with the company for SummerSlam Weekend.
According to a report from PWInsider, Roode is currently fulfilling the role of a WWE Producer. He was present at SmackDown in Dayton and will also be at Monday’s RAW in Minneapolis. It is highly likely that Roode will continue in this role for SummerSlam as well.
It remains unclear whether Roode is now working full-time as a producer or if this weekend is simply a tryout for him in this new position. Regardless, it is evident that the WWE sees value in his expertise and knowledge of the industry.
Roode has not competed in a match since his loss to Omos at a WWE live event in Amarillo, TX on June 25, 2022. Since then, he has been focused on recovering from various injuries, including multiple neck surgeries. In fact, in May, it was reported that Roode underwent another fusion surgery on his neck, which further delayed his potential return to in-ring action.
