Call in someone new. Commentary is one of the most important things in wrestling as they serve a variety of purposes. One of the most important is telling the fans what they should be seeing, which can guide the show in the right direction. Changing commentary up can be a big deal, and now two major wrestling shows are going to be seeing something of a change.

Variety has announced that WWE will be changing up its commentary teams beginning this week on Monday Night Raw. The new Monday Night Raw team will feature Michael Cole and Wade Barrett, who will be moving over from SmackDown. The SmackDown announce team will consist of Cole, as well as current Monday Night Raw team Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves. WWE is reportedly high on Patrick and feeling that pairing him with Cole can be beneficial to his career.

There is a lot of talent here. Check out some of the commentary team:

Opinion: This is an interesting way to go, but there is something strange about having two primarily play by play announcers on SmackDown. At the same time, Cole being on Monday Night Raw feels more right. Cole might not be the most popular name on WWE’s commentary team, but he has been around for a very long time now and has been the voice of WWE for a very long time now and featuring him makes sense.

What do you think of the changes? Which show will have the better team? Let us know in the comments below.
