Impact Wrestling celebrated a major milestone this week with the taping of their 1000th episode. The special event took place at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY, and featured a star-studded lineup of matches and appearances. Here are the live spoilers for the historic episode:
The action kicked off with a match for Before The Impact, as Jody Threat defeated KiLynn King. Despite King having her foot on the ropes during the pin, the referee still counted the three. It was an impressive victory for Threat.
In another match for Before The Impact, Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champions MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly) successfully defended their titles against The Death Dollz (Jessicka and Courtney Rush). Kelly was the standout performer in the match, and Slamovich sealed the victory with her finishing move, the Snowplow.
The highlight of the night was the Ultimate X match, which saw Alan Angels emerge victorious. The high-flying bout featured incredible acrobatics and risky maneuvers from all the competitors. Angels managed to retrieve the X symbol and secure the win in a thrilling fashion.
Later in the evening, Chris Sabin and Impact X-Division Champion Lio Rush squared off in a highly anticipated match. Sabin emerged victorious, capturing the X-Division Title in an impressive display of athleticism.
One of the most exciting moments of the night came during the return of Feast or Fired. Crazzy Steve, Yuya Uemura, Moose, and Chris Bey all won briefcases, which will reveal their contents at a later date. The briefcases contain three contracts for future title shots and one pink slip for a release. The return of Rhino added to the excitement, as he made a surprise appearance and hit a Gore on Steve Maclin, causing him to lose control of his briefcase. Moose took advantage of the chaos and snatched the briefcase for himself.
The celebration continued with Impact President Scott D’Amore taking the stage to thank everyone for their support and to welcome them to Impact 1000. He reminisced about the early days of the show and announced that Impact would be celebrating its past, present, and future in the coming weeks. D’Amore then introduced Impact Hall of Famer Gail Kim, who praised the Knockouts division and led a video package showcasing the highlights of the division over the years.
However, the celebration was interrupted by The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky), who mocked Kim and the Knockouts division. This led to a confrontation between the past and present Knockouts, with Jordynne Grace, Deonna Purrazzo, and Mickie James making surprise appearances. The segment ended with the announcement of a massive Knockouts match, promising to be the biggest in history.
Team 3D (Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley) made their long-awaited return to the ring, defeating The Desi Hit Squad in a nostalgic match. The Dudleyz showcased their signature moves and received a thunderous ovation from the crowd. They then addressed the audience, expressing their gratitude for their Impact runs and leading a chant of “Impact!”
The event also featured several other matches, including Frankie Kazarian and Traci Brooks defeating Eddie Edwards and Alicia Edwards, and Jake Something defeating Dirty Dango.
