The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) has entered a new era following a series of title changes at NWA 75. The most significant change was EC3 winning the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship and sending Tyrus into retirement.

The latest episode of NWA Powerrr celebrated this new era with several updates to the production. The show featured a poetic intro video package, updated match graphics, enhanced entrances, and a sleek studio stage.

However, there were some drawbacks to the changes. While NWA previously didn’t use entrance music, this episode featured some tunes that sounded cheaply dubbed over the live sounds.

The highlight of Powerrr was EC3, the new NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He delivered his first promo as the “Over Man” and showcased his confidence and determination to defend the title anywhere and everywhere.

EC3 stated, “75 years of the most perfect legacy in professional wrestling. 75 years of the most notable brand in professional wrestling. 75 years of nostalgia, history, honor, respect. 75 years to come to this moment to actualize this exact moment where here I stand giving NWA the perfect ending.”

He declared that a new era, the “Over Man era,” has begun and expressed his desire to become the greatest NWA champion of all time. EC3 also called out Thom Latimer for a potential title defense in the future.

Max The Impaler successfully defended the women’s TV title against Taylor Rising, showcasing her dominance in the ring. In the main event, Kerry Morton, Thrillbilly Silas Mason, and Alex Taylor emerged victorious in a six-man tag match against Wrecking Ball Legursky, Matt Vine, and The Fixer of The Fixers, LLC.

The Immortals defeated the Outrunners in a competitive match, positioning themselves for a shot at the US tag titles. Brady Pierce also secured a victory against Rolando Freeman, asserting his dominance.

In terms of promos, Aron Stevens justified his actions at NWA 75 by claiming self-defense against Trevor Murdoch. However, it was evident that Stevens had cheated during the match.

The Pretty Empowered trio, holders of the women’s world and tag titles, made their presence known. Kenzie Paige took a shot at Kamille, asserting herself as the real one-time champ. Zicky Dice returned to the NWA with his sights set on the TV championship, and Koa Laxamana aimed to challenge Colby Corino for the junior heavyweight championship.

The next NWA pay-per-view event, Samhain, is scheduled for October 28 in Cleveland, OH. It is likely that EC3’s first title defense will be against Thom Latimer, making for a fitting main event.
