The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 has announced his opponent for the upcoming NWA Samhain pay-per-view event, and it’s none other than NWA World Television Champion Thom Latimer. The event will take place in Cleveland, OH, which happens to be EC3’s hometown, adding an extra layer of excitement to the match.
During the latest episode of NWA Powerrr, EC3 called out Thom Latimer for a discussion. EC3 then made an offer to Latimer, proposing a title shot at Samhain. However, there was a catch. In order to challenge for the Worlds Heavyweight Title, Latimer must relinquish his NWA World Television Title due to the Lucky Seven Rule. This rule states that a champion who successfully defends their title seven times in a row can cash it in for a shot at the World Heavyweight Title.
EC3’s proposition didn’t sit well with Latimer’s wife, Kamille, who confronted him and accused him of politicking with the boss to secure his current position. Despite the tension, Latimer accepted the challenge and confirmed that he will face EC3 in Cleveland. This match will mark EC3’s first major title defense since winning the championship from Tyrus in a Bullrope Match at the NWA 75th Anniversary Show Night Two event on August 27. Tyrus was subsequently forced to retire following his defeat.
NWA boss Billy Corgan has promised fans some surprises at Samhain, which is being billed as a Halloween-themed extravaganza. The event has been described as the most sinister and diabolically violent pay-per-view in NWA history. With the tagline “The Ultimate Night of Spooktacular Wrestling Action in Cleveland,” Samhain aims to send chills down the audience’s spines and keep them on the edge of their seats.
