The preliminary viewership numbers for the August 4th episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX have been released, and it appears that there was a slight dip in viewership compared to the previous week.

According to Spoiler TV, the overnight viewership for last night’s episode averaged at 2.151 million viewers. This is slightly lower than the overnight viewership of 2.166 million from the previous week. However, it’s important to note that these are preliminary numbers, and the final ratings will be released next week.

In terms of the key 18-49 demographics, SmackDown scored a rating of 0.57 over both hours of programming. While this is an increase from the preliminary demo rating of the previous week, it is still lower than the final rating. It’s worth mentioning that SmackDown was up against tough competition, as it trailed behind shows like Will Trent, Secret Celebrity Renovation, and Dateline in total viewership.

This particular episode of SmackDown was the go-home edition leading up to the highly anticipated SummerSlam event, which took place the following evening. If you’re interested in checking out the full card for SummerSlam, you can find it here.

While the preliminary viewership numbers may not be as high as expected, it’s important to remember that these are just initial figures. The final ratings, which will be released next week, will provide a more accurate representation of the episode’s viewership.
