WATCH: Rhea Ripley Gets A Little Confused At WWE Live Event

Mistaken identity. While WWE presents weekly television shows on a regular basis, there are other events that most fans will not get to see. These live events offer fans a different perspective and often give them something unique that they will not see anywhere else. That was the case this weekend, as a Monday Night Raw star found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

WWE ran a live event this Saturday night in Fargo, North Dakota, featuring a match between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. During the match, Ripley was knocked to the floor and staggered over to ring announcer Alicia Taylor. Ripley did not realize who she was on before saying “YOU’RE NOT DOMINIK!” She also said that Taylor was not part of the Judgment Day and therefore could not wear purple eye shadow. Mysterio was not at the show, as he was wrestling on another live event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It was a strange encounter. Check out the moment, plus Ripley and Mysterio in better circumstances:

Opinion: This is one of those things that you get to see at a live event and it’s a lot of fun. Ripley pretty clearly knew that Mysterio wasn’t there but she sold the heck out of the gag. That’s something you don’t get to do on TV and it worked well here. Ripley continues to feel like a star in almost everything she does and she did it again with this bit, which was just a quick stop in a match.

What did you think of the segment? What is next for Ripley? Let us know in the comments below.
