That’s a surprise. There are certain stars in wrestling who just feel like bigger deals than most of the rest. That is the kind of person that the company will want to push rather hard, but that can result in some interesting moments as fans find out things about them that they might not have known before. It seems to be the case again, as a big WWE name’s past statements are coming back in an interesting way.

At WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. Ripley has become one of the biggest stars in WWE and she has previously revealed that she is a fan of other WWE stars. In a 2019 interview with Revolver, Ripley revealed that she is a Miz fan, saying “that’s who I want to be”, citing Miz’s “cool comebacks”. In addition, during an Instagram Q&A in 2020, Ripley revealed that she bought Miz merchandise as a child, owned a cardboard cutout of Miz and threw a birthday party for him on his birthday.

Opinion: That is one of those things that is out of nowhere but is also rather endearing. There are all kinds of fans who have something strange from their younger days but that doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. At the end of the day, Ripley is also a wrestling an and it seems that she is a fan of the Miz. There are worse names to be a fan of, and in her case, she was quite the fan indeed.
