Under The Knife: Injured WWE Superstar Reveals He Is Set For Surgery This Week

That’s a rough one. There are all kinds of injuries that can take a wrestler out of action and unfortunately they can often come out of nowhere. What might seem like a sequence that has been done a hundred times can go badly in a hurry and put someone on the shelf. That is the case again with a popular WWE star, whose injury is so severe that he is going to be undergoing surgery.

Earlier this month, Kofi Kingston injured his ankle during a brawl on SmackDown, resulting in him being replaced in a fatal five way for a shot at the Intercontinental Title the following week. Kingston has revealed on Twitter that he is undergoing surgery on his ankle this Friday in Birmingham, Alabama. There is no word on how long Kingston will be out of action while he recovers.

Opinion: That is awful to hear and hopefully Kingston is back on his feet a lot sooner than later. You never want any wrestler to have to undergo surgery and Kingston is still one of the more popular stars on SmackDown. It will be nice to have him back and healthy, as Kingston has quite a bit to offer when he can be around. That injury must have been a lot worse than it seemed, but at least he is getting t fixed quickly.
