AEW COLLISION & Battle Of The Belts VII took place on Saturday night at the Calgary Stampede Saddledome in Calgary, AB, and it was a night filled with intense matches and thrilling moments. Nigel McGuinness and Ian Riccaboni were the broadcast team for the event, providing fans with all the action and excitement.

The event kicked off with a 2/3 Falls Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. FTR, consisting of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, defended their titles against Bullet Club Gold’s “Switchblade” Jay White and Juice Robinson. The match was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams showcasing their skills and teamwork. In the end, Jay White hit the Blade Runner on Dax Harwood and secured the first fall for Bullet Club Gold. However, FTR fought back and managed to secure the second fall, thanks to a Shatter Machine on Juice Robinson. The final fall saw Dax Harwood put Juice Robinson in the sharpshooter, and Juice eventually tapped out, allowing FTR to retain their AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Finals saw Willow Nightingale take on Ruby Soho. The match was hard-hitting and intense, with both competitors giving it their all. Willow Nightingale showcased her strength and power, delivering multiple suplexes to Ruby Soho. However, Ruby Soho fought back and attempted to use a can of spray paint to gain an advantage. Willow, showing her integrity, refused to use the spray paint, but the distraction allowed Ruby to hit the No Future kick for a near fall. However, Willow quickly recovered and delivered a powerful pounce, followed by a powerbomb, securing the victory and becoming the winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

There was also an intense confrontation between Tony Schiavone, QT Marshall, and Powerhouse Hobbs. Tony Schiavone was looking for an interview with Powerhouse Hobbs when QT Marshall and Harley Cameron interrupted. QT Marshall apologized to Hobbs, claiming that he did not intentionally cost him the Owen Hart Tournament. Hobbs seemed skeptical but reminded QT that his word is his bond. The tension between the two was palpable, leaving fans wondering what the future holds for this feud.

The Kings of the Black Throne, Malakai Black and Brody King, faced off against Randy Myers and Artemis Spencer. Malakai Black showcased his dominance with a roundhouse kick, while Brody King squashed his opponent in the corner. Andrade El Idolo made his presence known, walking onto the ramp during the match. In the end, Malakai Black finished off his opponent with the Black Mass, securing the victory for his team.

The Collision Main Event featured the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Finals, with CM Punk taking on “Absolute” Ricky Starks. The match was a display of athleticism and skill, with both competitors delivering impressive moves. CM Punk paid homage to Bret Hart with a side Russian leg sweep, while Ricky Starks showcased his resilience and determination. In a surprising turn of events, Ricky Starks managed to roll up CM Punk and secure the victory, becoming the winner of the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.

The Battle of the Belts VII began with Jushin “Thunder” Liger presenting Ricky Starks with his trophy. However, Starks showed a lack of respect by grabbing the trophy out of Liger’s hands. The AEW International Title Match between “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and “The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer was intense. Orange Cassidy managed to win the match by count out, narrowly escaping Archer’s onslaught.

Tony Schiavone then interviewed The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn. The Acclaimed accepted a challenge from QTV, promising to beat them twice as bad in the upcoming Royal Rampage. They also announced that they would be getting a rematch for the AEW Trios titles on Collision
