AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS FOR MAY 5

Rampage kicks off with El Hijo del Vikingo & Lucha Bros in a trios match against Powerhouse Hobbs, QT Marshall, and Aaron Solo, with all six men already ringside and ready to go.

El Hijo del Vikingo & Lucha Bros defeat Powerhouse Hobbs, QT Marshall, and Aaron Solo. Vikingo is hot out of the gate with the imploding hurricanrana and phoenix splash. The tide changes when Hobbs tags in. He runs over Penta and smashes Fenix out of mid-air. Vikingo also goes down trying to put a dent in Powerhouse. Hobbs with a delayed vertical suplex on Penta, and tags QT back in. The crowd chants “QT sucks.” QT rams Penta head first into the ringpost as we go to a commercial break. Later in the match, the three babyfaces hit stereo dives to the outside onto the heels. Vikingo with a shooting star press on Solo, but Hobbs breaks up the pin attempt. QT is hit with a Canadian Destroyer by Penta. Hobbs takes out Penta. Fenix with a cutter on Hobbs, and all six men are spent. Vikingo comes back to his a destroyer on the apron on QT, and follows it up with a German suplex on Solo. Hobbs is distracted manhandling Alex Abrahantes on the outside. That leaves the Lucha Bros inside the ring to put Solo away with the tandem top rope stomp into the package piledriver for the pin.
We get exclusive backstage footage of an irate MJF after Dynamite went off the air.
Chris Jericho is interviewed at his locker room door. He apologizes for being unable to perform his commentating duties due to Adam Cole’s recent attack. He’s trying to ensure that Cole will not be allowed to share the same building with him going forward. Jericho ends the interview and goes back to hiding in his locked private room.
Taya Valkyrie has been suspended for putting her hands on Aubrey Edwards last week.

TBS Champion Jade Cargill defeats Gia Scott. This was like a three move squash match that maybe lasted one minute. She is now 57-0.
Mark Briscoe is backstage getting ready for his match with Preston Vance. He is interrupted by Jeff Jarrett and his crew, who say they are ready to take the AEW world tag team titles from FTR. They ask Mark to pass word to FTR about their intentions for a tag title match at Double or Nothing.

Mark Briscoe defeats Preston Vance. Vance grabs a sign from Briscoe’s daughter in the audience and rips it apart. Mark fires up and pummels Preston. He pulls out a steel chair from under the ring and sits Vance on it. He goes for a twirling splash from the middle rope, but Vance gets out of the way and Briscoe has a nasty crash landing onto the chair. Later in the fight, both men trade blows in the middle of the ring. Briscoe ultimately puts Vance down to the mat with a lariat. Vance avoids the Jay Driller and hits the windup lariat. ose the Assistant slides a chair in for Vance to use. When the ref goes to get rid of it, Vance hits a low blow on Briscoe and gets a near fall out of it. Mark sends Vance to the outside, then uses the chair as a launching pad to fly over the rope and crash onto Vance. Briscoe takes out Jose while he’s out there. Back in the ring, Mark interrupts the discus elbow and catches Vance in the Jay Driller for the win.
Mark’s kids and family come over the guardrail and celebrate inside the ring with him. after the match is over.
Dustin Rhodes is interviewed backstage. AEW is coming to Austin, Texas on May 17, which is his backyard. He is attacked from behind by Brian Cage. Swerve Strickland is there too. Keith Lee chases them away. It sounds like there will be a match between these men on May 17.
