Two teams at the top after seven nights

November 28 saw night eight of World Tag League in Nagoya, the main event pitting Shota Umino and Ren Narita against NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya and local hero Ryohei Oiwa.

Watch the replay!

Kiyomiya got the biggest chants at the bell as he exchanged holds early with Umino; the two would be at a deadlock, but Oiwa and Kiyomiya did find progress with Narita’s left elbow. Umino would come to his partner’s aid, and a senton combination would change the flow of the match, Oiwa now labouring in the wrong corner until a side suplex to Umino brought Kiyomiya exploding back into the ring. Narita would put a stop to the break with a Northern lights Suplex for two and translated into a leg lace Boston that sent Kaito to the ropes; transitioning into a Cobra Twist and then a German suplex, Narita came close to victory but Kiyomiya gutted through and landed his own Tiger Suplex, broken up by Umino.

As the Nagoya crowd got behind both teams, Kiyomiya and Narita would collide several times center ring, but Umino got the tag in the plus position, Oiwa still waiting frustrated on the apron. The NJPW side wanted a Hart Attack on Kiyomiya but were met with a double dropkick instead; Oiwa finally came in and the hometown boy hit a series of heavy dropkicks to Umino, but was stopped with a tornado DDT and a brutal slingshot version on the apron. Even an OsCutter followed from Umino, but Oiwa found an answer with a big powerslam.

A recovered Kiyomiya hit the ring and he and Oiwa hit a pair of double dropkicks to their opponents before a Doomsday Crossbody on Umino. Oiwa struck with the Anaconda Suplex, for a very near two on the Roughneck, but the recently graduated Young Lion found himself trapped in an STF moments later, just barely making the ropes. With Narita back in the ring, a Hart Attack scored but the pin was broken by Kaito, and again when Oiwa was hit with a barrage of suplexes. Ignition followed for Umino but Oiwa kicked out on his own steam; with time running out and Narita and Kiyomiya fighting on the floor, Oiwa came close with flash pins but his luck and energy was running out. Umino set for Blaze Blade only to see Oiwa collapse; after a series of blows from Umino, the strike hit on the second try and Death Rider followed for three.

TMDK were looking to remain the only undefeated team in A Block when they took on Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano. After haste was outsmarted by Yano in the G1, and Nicholls defeated by Ishii int he summer as well, there was a frantic sense to TMDK as Nicholls tripped Yano on a second try and sent him into the guardrails outside. When Ishii was tagged in, he made a target of ‘Mad’ Mikey, but a DDT scored on the Stone Pit bull as the CHAOS side struggled. It would take a backdrop suplex from Ishii on Haste to bring Yano in, but he too would struggle until Nicholls collided with an exposed turnbuckle.

Yano followed up by launching Haste into the buckle as well, but only
