Another action-packed episode of WWE NXT took place at the Performance Center in Winter Park, Florida. With several high-stakes matches and intense rivalries, the show delivered on its promise of excitement and drama. Let’s dive into the results and highlights from the night.
The first match of the evening featured Tiffany Stratton defending her WWE NXT Women’s Championship against Kiana James. The match was a hard-fought battle, with both competitors showcasing their skills. Ultimately, Stratton retained her title after hitting the Prettiest MoonSault Ever. However, the post-match segment stole the spotlight as Becky Lynch appeared on the titantron, challenging Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship next week.
In another thrilling contest, Ilja Dragunov faced off against Oro Mensah. The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both men displaying their incredible athleticism. Dragunov emerged victorious after hitting The Torpedo Moscow. After the match, Wes Lee interrupted Dragunov’s celebration and declared his intention to face him next week. Carmelo Hayes also made his presence known, setting up a future match between Hayes and the winner of Dragunov vs. Lee.
Nathan Frazer and Duke Hudson squared off in a Group B match of the NXT Global Heritage Invitational. Frazer secured the win with a Phoenix Splash, earning two points in the tournament. The Diamond Mine also made their presence felt, as various members staked their claim for an opportunity at the NXT Tag Team Titles.
Other notable matches included Tyler Bate defeating Dabba Kato, Mustafa Ali defeating Dragon Lee to earn a shot at Dominik Mysterio’s NXT North American Championship, and Bron Breakker emerging victorious in a brutal No Disqualification match against Von Wagner.
The night also featured intense backstage confrontations, including one between Gigi Dolin and Thea Hail, and another involving Dana Brooke and Lyra Valkyria. Additionally, Baron Corbin joined the commentary team for the Breakker vs. Wagner match, adding his unique perspective to the action.
