Wrestling Observer Radio has updates on Steve Austin and the Rock’s WrestleMania 39 statuses. Austin will not be wrestling on the show, despite reportedly being offered matches with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Opinion: This is one of those situations that makes a lot of sense. Rock and Austin are both in their 50’s and have nothing left to prove in WWE. Austin even wrestled last year and looked rather good, all things considered. Why risk damaging your legacy, or at worst embarrassing yourself, for a one off match? There are more than enough memories between the two and they don’t need to risk adding a bad one to the list.
