It is with great sadness that we report the passing of professional wrestling legend, “Exotic” Adrian Street, at the age of 82. The news was confirmed by WWE.com.

Born the son of a coal miner in Wales, Street had a remarkable career that spanned nearly six decades. Known for his flamboyant style and captivating persona, he pushed the boundaries of sports entertainment and left an indelible mark on the industry.

Street initially competed under the name Kid Tarzan before adopting the moniker “Exotic” Adrian Street. He made a memorable entrance to the ring, adorned in pastels and glitter, with his glam-rock entrance music setting the perfect tone for his performances.

Throughout his career, Street entertained audiences around the world, working in countries such as the UK, Germany, Mexico, and Canada. He eventually settled in the Continental Championship Wrestling promotion in Birmingham, Alabama.

Street’s in-ring accomplishments were impressive, estimated to be between 12,000 and 15,000 matches. However, his influence extended far beyond his in-ring performances. He is credited with designing the iconic gear worn by Mick Foley’s alter ego, “Dude Love,” during his memorable rivalry with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

In addition to his wrestling career, Street dabbled in other forms of entertainment. He starred alongside Ron Perlman in the 1981 film “Quest for Fire” and even performed as part of the band “The Pile Drivers.”
