Kyle O’Reilly hints at potential return date to AEW

AEW made its debut in the Montreal market this week for the tapings of Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. Later on social media, AEW announced dates and ticket information for its 2024 Canada tour in the months of March, April, May, and July.

Kyle O’Reilly responded to the news of next year’s Canada dates with the following note on his Instagram stories:

“I might be a wrestler again by this time”

O’Reilly last wrestled for AEW in June 2022; he’s been out of action recovering from neck fusion surgery. A lot of folks are speculating he will return to AEW as part of RETRIBUTION The Devil’s story with Adam Cole and MJF.

Based on Kyle’s Instagram tease above, he might be back in AEW by March 2024. Even if The Devil’s mystery angle is wrapped up by then, there’s a pretty good chance that KOR will be involved in whatever Roderick Strong or Adam Cole are doing in kayfabe at that time. Then again, perhaps O’Reilly will be ready to return to the ring much sooner than March, and is trying to throw fans off his scent by setting expectations at a later date.

Do you think Kyle O’Reilly will play an integral role in The Devil’s story? Give us your predictions in the comments below, Cagesiders.
