Angle even resorted to purchasing 500 pills illegally from Mexico each month to fuel his addiction.
During his worst period of addiction, Angle was spending up to $7,000 per month on painkillers. Despite the financial strain, Angle stated that money was not an issue for him at the time due to his high income as a professional wrestler.
