Jon Moxley’s Shocking Health Diagnosis: Wrestling Star Discloses Startling Arthritis Diagnosis Comparable to a 70-Year-Old

Jon Moxley, the current AEW North American Champion, recently opened up about his health in a candid interview with Bleav/ESPN 1530’s Rick Ucchino. During the interview, Moxley revealed that a doctor had diagnosed him with the arthritis of a 70-year-old man.

Moxley shared, “The doctor last year told me that I have the Arthritis of a 70-year-old man. And that was quite humbling. That was a year or two ago. So by now, it is like a 72-year-old man. I don’t move very well in the mornings. But once I get like, dude thank God shows are at night because by then I’m pretty loosened up.”

He further added, “If wrestling shows took place in the morning like Saturday Morning Superstars, if we started doing those early territory-style Studio TV Tapings on Sunday mornings I’d be… I would retire. I’d be done. Because a lot of times I can’t even move before noon.”

Arthritis is a condition that causes inflammation and stiffness in the joints, leading to pain and limited mobility. It commonly affects older individuals, but Moxley’s diagnosis at a relatively young age is a reminder of the toll that professional wrestling can take on the body.

Moxley’s revelation sheds light on the physical challenges that wrestlers face, often pushing through pain and discomfort to entertain the audience. Despite his arthritis, Moxley continues to compete at a high level and deliver electrifying performances in the ring.

As a top star in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Moxley’s health is a matter of concern for fans and the promotion alike. However, his determination and passion for the sport have allowed him to overcome the obstacles posed by his condition.

AEW has been known for its focus on providing a safer working environment for its wrestlers, prioritizing their health and well-being. The company’s commitment to talent safety includes regular medical check-ups and support systems to ensure performers can continue to showcase their skills without compromising their long-term health.

While Moxley’s arthritis diagnosis may be a cause for worry, it also serves as a reminder of the physical sacrifices wrestlers make to entertain their fans. Their dedication and resilience in the face of such challenges are what make professional wrestling a truly awe-inspiring spectacle.
