Jim Ross had the opportunity to reflect on his experience at the AEW All In pay-per-view event during the latest edition of his Grillin JR podcast. The Hall of Famer revealed that he was fortunate enough to call all the matches he had hoped to call, despite being replaced by Tony Schiavone.

According to Ross, he arrived at the stadium on Sunday afternoon, with their call scheduled for 11 am. He received his assignments around 1 pm, which included the first four matches. Ross expressed his excitement about calling matches such as Punk and Joe, Kenny’s match, and FTR and Young Bucks. He mentioned that he would have added the main event between MJF and Adam Cole to his list of matches, as he enjoys matches with strategy, counters, and gameplans. After completing his matches, Ross returned to his hotel room and watched the rest of the show on his iPad.

Ross commended the production team for their setup of All In and highlighted CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe as the match he wanted to call the most. He believed that both men would tell a great story in the ring. Ross also emphasized the importance of performers giving their best performance on such a big night and praised Tony Khan’s team for overachieving in every aspect of the event.

Regarding the backstage scuffle between Punk and Jack Perry, Ross admitted that he was unaware of it until after the show. He mentioned that he didn’t witness the incident and only learned about it later.
