Former WWE star Maven recently shared a funny story about his experience working with Edge in OVW. In a video posted on his personal YouTube channel, Maven spoke highly of the Hall of Famer and praised him for his continued success in the wrestling industry.
Maven expressed his admiration for Edge, also known as Adam, for his ability to compete at such a high level even to this day. He mentioned that he often gets asked if he wants to wrestle, but he always declines. Maven marveled at how Edge manages to keep going and work at such a fast pace. He also described Edge as the nicest guy and always helpful.
During their time together in OVW, Maven recalled a rib that Edge played on him during a tag team match. Maven had been rehabbing a broken arm and was sent to OVW to get back in wrestling shape. In the ring, Edge purposely called spots that would exhaust Maven, wanting to see him gas out. When Maven eventually became tired, Edge broke character and started laughing at him.
Maven concluded the story by wishing Edge all the best and jokingly mentioning the controversial situation where Edge started dating Lita, who was previously in a relationship with fellow wrestler Matt Hardy.
Throughout the video, Maven showed great respect for Edge, both in and out of the ring. He acknowledged Edge’s contributions to the wrestling business and expressed his admiration for his talent and character.
