Hall of Famers Life and Career Spotlighted in New Movie Featuring WWE Stars

Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan are set to star in a movie based on the life of Mildred Burke, former NWA World Women’s Champion. The film will begin filming in Louisville, Kentucky in June with Josh Lucas playing Burke’s husband Billy Wolfe and Marie Avgeropoulous portraying Babe Gordon. Jim Ross will be behind the scenes, and the movie is based on the book “Queen of the Ring” by Pulitzer-winning author Jeff Leen.Producers Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins, and writer/director Ash Avildsen are completing the project. June Byers, inducted in the 2017 Legacy Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, and Clara Mortensen, billed as the first Women’s World Champion, will also be featured. Burke was inducted into the Legacy Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. No release date or title of the movie has been announced.
