Match two of the best of 7 series highlights the Fukuoka card as New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) continues its Road to Destruction tour. The event, which takes place on September 17, promises to be an exciting night of action as the wrestlers look to make their mark before the upcoming events in Kobe and Ryogoku.
The main event of the evening will see the team of Just Five Guys (SANADA, Taichi, DOUKI, and TAKA Michinoku) take on the formidable HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi, SHO, and Dick Togo). Just Five Guys will be looking to avenge their previous losses against HOUSE OF TORTURE and regain their rightful place as champions. With key matches on the horizon, including the KOPW and IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, Taichi and SANADA will be looking to turn the tide in their favor.
In the sixth match of the night, Shota Umino, Yuji Nagata, and Master Wato will face off against Strong Style (Ren Narita, Minoru Suzuki, and El Desperado) in the second match of the Best of Seven Series. The first match ended in a time limit draw, leaving Nagata determined to secure a victory for his team this time around.
The fifth match will feature Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, and BUSHI) taking on United Empire (Jeff Cobb, HENARE, Great-O-Khan, and Callum Newman). With tensions running high between Takagi and Great-O-Khan, both teams will be looking to prove their dominance and gain momentum on the Road to Destruction.
CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto, and Kazuchika Okada) will go head-to-head with TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls, and Bad Dude Tito) in the fourth match of the night. With the IWGP Tag Team Championships on the line in Kobe, both teams will be looking to make a statement and secure their positions in the tag team division.
In the third match, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Toru Yano, and YOH will face Tiger Mask, Satoshi Kojima, and Ryusuke Taguchi. This match will also serve as a preview for YOH, who will be teaming up with his regular tag partner Lio Rush in Kobe. The outcome of this match could give us a glimpse into YOH’s mindset heading into the upcoming event.
The second match will see Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma) take on Boltin Oleg and Oskar Leube. Boltin Oleg, who has been out of action due to an infection, will be eager to make his return and prove himself as a contender for the NJPW World TV Championship.
The night will kick off with a singles match between Hiromu Takahashi and Yuto Nakashima. These two competitors have faced off before, with Hiromu emerging victorious. Nakashima will be looking to prove himself and show how much he has grown since their last encounter.
