It’s a slow healing injury. You can see all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them leave a wrestler on the shelf for quite a while. Some of these injuries are problems that have built up over a long time and the question becomes how long it will be before a star is back in the ring. While we don’t know the specific date, we do now have some fresh information on an injured WWE star.

Tommaso Ciampa has been out of action since September 17, 2022 as he has undergone surgery for a hip labrum performed in October. Ciampa’s friend Johnny Gargano was interviewed by Catch Club and revealed that Ciampa is still rehabbing from the surgery. While Gargano did not give a date, he did say that Ciampa was doing well and “hopes he’ll be back soon”. There is no word on when Ciampa will return to the ring.

Opinion: It is nice to hear that Ciampa is getting along in his rehab, but we could still be waiting for awhile before he is able to get back in the ring. Hopefully things continues to improve for him and the process does not take much longer. Ciampa has a history of injuries throughout his career and this is one of the more serious things that he has had to deal with so far. Getting him back should help, though it might be a long time to come.
