AEW wrestler Sammy Guevara has received medical clearance to return to action after suffering a concussion at the company’s WrestleDream PPV on October 1st. Guevara confirmed his clearance in a vlog update posted on December 5th. In the video, he expressed his gratitude for being cleared and stated that it happened at the best time.
During his time off, Guevara was able to support his wife, Tay Melo, during the final month of her pregnancy. The couple recently welcomed their first child, Luna, into the world. In the vlog, Melo shared that the pregnancy was challenging, and she endured a 24-hour labor.
Guevara expressed his happiness about the well-being of his wife and daughter, stating, “We just wanted to get on here to tell you that Tay’s doing good, baby’s doing good, I’m doing good.”
Although there is no official word on when Guevara and Melo will return to the ring, they are currently focused on their new roles as parents. The couple has their hands full outside of wrestling, but fans can expect Guevara’s return to the AEW roster in the near future.
