Danhausen made his AEW debut during a special episode of Dynamite: Beach Break on January 26, 2022, appearing during the Lights Out match between Adam Cole and Orange Cassidy. Soon after, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Danhausen had signed a full-time contract with the company.

The “Very Evil, Very Nice” one took to Twitter on Thursday to address the one-year anniversary of his signing with All Elite Wrestling and promised never to curse Tony Khan. He wrote,

“1 year ago Danhausen debuted for @AEW & became Very Elite, Very Evil. Thank you @TonyKhan for giving Danhausen a television job while still having a broken leg & only being half powerful. You’ll never get a Danhausen curse because of this. 2023 ~ Danhausen takes over television.”
