Impact Wrestling Hall of Famers Team 3D made a triumphant return to the ring at Saturday’s Impact 1000 tapings, marking their first match together since December 2016. Although Impact has not yet made an official announcement regarding the match, D-Von Dudley took to Instagram to share the exciting news. Team 3D faced off against The Desi Hit Squad, making it their first-ever encounter. D-Von expressed his gratitude towards his partner Bubba Ray Dudley (Bully Ray), Impact producer and new Digital Media Champion Tommy Dreamer, Impact President Scott D’Amore, and the entire locker room for their warm welcome and support.
“Being back in the ring again after 7 years for the 1000th episode of TNA was truly amazing. I would like to thank Bubba, Tommy Dreamer, Scott F. D’Amore, and the entire Impact locker room for welcoming me back with open arms. Everybody in the locker room was truly respectful and genuine during my comeback,” D-Von wrote on Instagram.
He also left the door open for the possibility of another match in the future, stating, “I’ve said it before that this would be it, but you never know lol. Here is some video of what transpired last night. I’m a little sore, but that’s to be expected after training and being off for so long. Thank you to the fans, my family, and all my friends for their support over my 32-year career. ……OH MY BROTHER TESTIFY!!!”.
