The September 15 edition of AEW Rampage was taped on Wednesday from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH. Here are the spoilers:
The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix) and The Hardys (Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy) defeated The Butcher, The Blade, Jeff Jarrett, and Jay Lethal in a thrilling tag team match. The high-flying and hard-hitting action kept the crowd on the edge of their seats throughout the match. The Lucha Bros and The Hardys showcased their incredible teamwork and innovative maneuvers to secure the victory.
The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett) emerged victorious against Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal in a hard-fought battle. The Kingdom’s combination of power and technical prowess proved to be too much for Daniels and Sydal to handle. Taven and Bennett demonstrated why they are a force to be reckoned with in the tag team division.
In another exciting match, AEW World Trios Champions The Acclaimed (Max Caster, Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn defeated Peter Avalon and The Outrunners (Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd). The Acclaimed and Gunn showcased their chemistry and in-ring skills to dominate their opponents. After the match, The Dark Order made their presence known and challenged The Acclaimed to a title match. The tension between the two teams escalated, leading to Bowens agreeing to a singles match on the upcoming Collision event.
Aussie Open (Mark Davis, Kyle Fletcher) delivered an impressive performance against Lord Crewe and Damian Chambers. Aussie Open’s combination of power moves and agility allowed them to secure the victory. Davis and Fletcher proved why they are a formidable tag team in AEW.
AEW TBS Champion Kris Statlander successfully defended her title against Jade Cargill in a highly competitive match. Statlander displayed her incredible strength and athleticism, while Cargill showcased her power and agility. In the end, Statlander emerged as the victor and the two competitors showed respect for each other after the match.
