Breaking News: Explosive Update on UFC/WWE Merger Revealed

It had to happen. The biggest wrestling story of the year has been WWE being sold to Endeavor, the parent company of UFC. This means that WWE will have an owner outside of the McMahon family for the first time ever and that could make for some incredible changes throughout the industry. Things are not quite complete yet, but now we know when we can expect the big change.

WWE and Endeavor have announced that the merger between WWE and UFC is expected to close on Tuesday, September 12. The two companies will be merged into a new entity called the TKO Group, with Ari Emanuel as CEO and Vince McMahon as Executive Chairman. There is no word on any immediate changes that will take place once the merger is officially complete.

WWE has merged some things before. Check out some unifications:

Opinion: This is one of those things that you knew was coming but it’s still hard to fathom that it is actually happening. The idea of WWE being underneath any other company doesn’t sound right, but there are far worse options than Endeavor. Hopefully Endeavor makes a few positive changes but mainly lets WWE do their own thing for the most part, as things have hardly been going badly as of late.
