WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T, recently shared his thoughts on Randy Orton’s highly anticipated return to the ring at Survivor Series. Orton, who has been sidelined due to back fusion surgery, will be participating in the Men’s WarGames match. Booker T expressed his excitement for Orton’s comeback and discussed the challenges of returning from injury in the world of professional wrestling.

Booker T empathized with Orton, stating, “Randy was going through a lot, man, with that injury on his back and stuff like that. You wonder if you’re going to ever come back.” He further added, “They say once you touch the back, man, this, you know, surgery after surgery after surgery.” Booker T himself has experienced the mental and physical toll of injuries, sharing personal anecdotes about his own recovery process.

Reflecting on his own injuries, Booker T revealed, “I know every time I was sitting at home with an injury, I was always wondering, man, ‘am I going to be able to get back?'” He discussed the emotional challenges of being sidelined, recounting a time when he hurt his neck and back and couldn’t walk for a month. Despite feeling depressed, Booker T managed to regain his focus and make a successful comeback.

Booker T believes that Orton is eager to return to the ring, stating, “So I’m sure, man, he’s chomping at the bit and can’t wait to just taste the mat just one more time, you know what I mean? Because it’s definitely hard being away from it.”

When discussing the version of Randy Orton that fans can expect to see upon his return, Booker T expressed confidence that Orton will maintain his trademark style. He remarked, “Well, I think Randy is going to be the same Randy that we’ve seen for the last couple of years because Randy put himself in a position where you don’t come to see Randy and do his moves other than the RKO. All you want to do is come to see Randy Orton. Make that walk and do his pose.”

Booker T emphasized that Orton’s performance style has always been grounded in traditional wrestling techniques. He described Orton as a “square circle type of guy,” highlighting that Orton has never relied on acrobatics or gimmicks to win matches. Booker T further added, “I don’t know if Randy ever won any championships outside of being there in the middle of that squared circle. No gimmick matches or anything like that, such as myself.”

Booker T’s insights provide fans with a glimpse into the mindset of a professional wrestler returning from injury. His own experiences and understanding of the challenges involved make his perspective valuable. As fans eagerly await Randy Orton’s return at Survivor Series, they can anticipate witnessing the same iconic performer they have come to know and love.
