Bobby Lashley recently sat down for an interview with WrestlingNews.com’s Steve Fall, where he discussed a wide range of topics. One of the main subjects of the conversation was Lashley’s disappointment in missing out on a match at WrestleMania 39.

Lashley had initially been scheduled to face Bray Wyatt at the event, but due to Wyatt’s heart issues, the match was canceled. Instead, Lashley went on to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown the night before.

Expressing his disappointment, Lashley said, “I was beyond disappointed. The thing that disappoints me the most is all the work that I put in. We have live events throughout the year, and I’m on all of them. Every pay-per-view, every WrestleMania. I’ve always had a spotlight match. So to be pulled off the biggest show was a low point in my career.”

Lashley also mentioned how his children were eagerly looking forward to seeing him at WrestleMania. He said, “My kids called me up the night before and asked if I was going to be on. They had some stuff going on, and I would have flown them right in if I was going to be out. But then I saw all kinds of mix-ups, random people jumping in there. It was really disappointing.”

Despite the setback, Lashley is determined to make a change and earn another world title run. He has been working hard, staying in great shape, and building a team. Lashley emphasized that he never spoke ill of the company during his time away and returned after gaining success in other companies.

Reflecting on his journey back to WWE, Lashley said, “We’re still moving forward. I have a great opportunity now, which I’m trying to focus my attention on. And I’d like another world title run. I’m in great shape, and I will work my ass off to achieve that goal.”

It’s clear that Lashley’s disappointment at missing out on WrestleMania 39 has fueled his determination to prove himself once again. With his impressive track record and dedication to his craft, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Lashley back in the world title picture in the near future.
