Arn Anderson On Paul Orndorff: He Had It All. He Was A Megastar

Anderson spoke highly of Orndorff, stating, “First of all, Paul was a megastar. He had it all, had the look. He was a legitimate athlete, a legitimate tough guy, and a top heel in the business. He could talk, he was aggressive, vicious, and nasty.”

Anderson reminisced about their encounter in the gym when he had just joined Georgia Championship Wrestling in 1983. Orndorff was preparing to leave for the WWF, and they happened to be working out together. Orndorff took a moment to give Anderson some advice, saying, “If you can work and talk, you cannot be denied. And if you stay in the gym and keep yourself looking like an athlete, they cannot deny you no matter what.”

Anderson took Orndorff’s advice to heart and carried it with him throughout his career. He focused on honing his skills, maintaining his physique, and delivering impactful performances in the ring. The guidance he received from Orndorff played a significant role in his success as a professional wrestler.
