WWE Stars Set to Join Explosive Roster of Upcoming UFC Game!

Exciting news for both UFC and gaming fans as UFC and EA Sports have officially announced the release of EA UFC 5 video game. Set to be released on Friday, October 27, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XS, the game is highly anticipated to be much-improved compared to its predecessors.

One of the most exciting features of the game is the inclusion of various crossovers with legendary fighters from different combat sports. Fans can expect to see the likes of Fedor Emelianenko, Muhammad Ali, and even WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson making appearances in the game. This news comes at an interesting time, as the merger between WWE and UFC is expected to be finalized next week, as reported by Wrestling Headlines.

With the merger on the horizon, the developers of EA UFC 5 were asked if they had considered including WWE Superstars in the game. According to Fightful Select, the developers did inquire about the possibility, but were informed that until the merger is finalized, discussions regarding WWE Superstars in the game will likely be put on hold. This is understandable considering that 2K currently holds the license for WWE video games.

However, it’s worth noting that there are several current WWE Superstars who have a background in UFC. Superstars like Brock Lesnar, Matt Riddle, Ronda Rousey, and Shayna Baszler have all competed in the octagon before joining the WWE roster. Lesnar, in particular, has been featured in various UFC video games in the past, including UFC 2009 Undisputed, UFC Undisputed 2010 (as the cover athlete), UFC Undisputed 3 in 2012, EA UFC 1 in 2014 (as DLC), and EA UFC 4 in 2020 (as DLC). Rousey has also made appearances in EA UFC 1, EA UFC 2 in 2016 (as co-cover athlete), and EA UFC 3 in 2018, as well as the EA UFC mobile game.

While it remains to be seen if WWE Superstars will be included in the upcoming EA UFC 5 game, fans can still look forward to an exciting and improved gaming experience. The game is set to provide an immersive and realistic fighting experience on the next-gen consoles.
