Impact Wrestling is set to hold their Slammiversary Fallout TV tapings this Sunday, July 16, at the St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The tapings will take place one night after the Slammiversary pay-per-view, which will also be held at the same venue. This is an exciting opportunity for fans to witness the fallout from the highly anticipated event.
Several matches have been announced for the tapings, which will be featured on the July 20 and July 27 episodes of Impact. One of the notable matches will be between Impact Director of Authority Santino Marella and Dirty Dango. This match is being promoted as a personal grudge match and will be Santino’s second match since joining Impact. Santino previously teamed up with Dango and Impact Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry for a Handicap Match win over Deaner, Kon, Angels, and Sami Callihan at Rebellion on April 16.
The upcoming match between Santino and Dango will mark the eighth televised singles match between the two wrestlers since 2011. They have previously faced each other in numerous multi-man and mixed tag team bouts on WWE TV. The rivalry includes matches where Santino teamed with Emma, while Dango teamed with Summer Rae and Layla. Some of the notable TV singles matches between the two include Fandango defeating Santino on the April 19, 2013, SmackDown, and Santino defeating Fandango on the April 18, 2014, SmackDown.
In addition to the Santino vs. Dango match, the Slammiversary Fallout tapings will feature NHL Legend and part-time indie wrestler Darren McCarty teaming up with Tommy Dreamer to take on Champagne Singh and Shera. This match comes after an angle where Singh ended up with McCarty’s 4 Stanley Cup Championship Rings on Impact’s social media. McCarty will also serve as the Special Enforcer in the Slammiversary main event, where Scott D’Amore and a partner will take on Bully Ray and Deaner.
Other matches scheduled for the tapings include Lio Rush vs. Kushida, one night after Rush challenges Impact X-Division Champion Chris Sabin at Slammiversary. Impact World Tag Team Champions Ace Austin and Chris Bey will also defend their titles against Subculture, following a Fatal 4 Way match at Slammiversary that includes Brian Myers and Moose, as well as Rich Swann and Sami Callihan.
