WATCH: Bad Bunny Attacked And Taken Out On Monday Night Raw

That sounds like a future. WWE runs all kinds of events a year and several of them take place outside of the continental United States. It can be tricky to find a way to draw interest in all of those shows and it makes sense to have a local celebrity or hometown star involved. Now we might be seeing both of those take place at once based off what happened this week.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Farewell: Two WWE Stars Released From WWE Upon Request

Last month, WWE announced that Backlash would be taking place in Puerto Rico on May 6 with Bad Bunny as the guest host. This week on Monday Night Raw, Bunny was sitting in the crowd and got into a physical altercation with Dominik Mysterio before being attacked by Damien Priest. There is no word on if Priest is expected to wrestle on the show, though he has wrestled for WWE multiple times in the past, including teaming with Priest at WrestleMania 37.

It was a messy situation. Check out the attack and what else Bunny has done in WWE before:

Opinion: This feels like a way to set up the main event of Backlash as Rey Mysterio and Bunny vs. Dominik and Priest would be a heck of a featured contest. What matters is that WWE seems to be getting the idea of the show and if this is where they are going, they seem to have a plan. Bunny has shown he can handle himself in the ring and we could be in for something fun at Backlash if this is the way they’re going.
