Vince McMahon’s Decision Sparks Speculation About Gable Steveson’s WWE Destiny

It’s a boss thing. Like him or not, there is no one in wrestling more powerful than Vince McMahon. Over the years, McMahon has decided to push people in one way or another and his decisions can be complete game changers. If he likes or doesn’t like you, your fate can be sealed, and now we might be in another situation where McMahon’s decision is going to be all that matters.

Last week, news broke that Gable Steveson was “done” with NXT for the time being, with nothing suggesting that he would be returning to television anytime soon. This week on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that Steveson may be “in a holding pattern” until McMahon returns from back surgery earlier this year. There is no word on how McMahon might decide to use Steveson. Over the weekend, Steveson wrestled a pair of live event matches in Florida, defeating Dante Chen both times.

Steveson is a huge prospect. Check out his time in WWE, plus some McMahon returns:

Opinion: Steveson is one of the most fascinating cases in WWE in a very long time, as he has gone from winning an Olympic gold medal to barely making NXT live events. His match at the Great American Bash this year did not seem to do him any favors and things have been shaken up even more. I’m still curious to see how Steveson does, as there is so much potential there that it is hard to fathom letting him go.

What will McMahon do with Steveson? How big of a star will he be in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
