According to Oku, he credits Bailey for teaching him the blueprint of having great matches. Bailey, a regular competitor in the United Kingdom, was known for always putting on the best match on any card. Oku recognized this and sought advice from Bailey on how to improve his own performances.
Speaking about his experience, Oku said, “I 100 percent credit ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey for me starting to have great matches. He was the guy that gave me the blueprint of how to look at wrestling matches.” Oku further explained that Bailey’s feedback and advice helped him understand match psychology and how to perfect the placement of his moves within a match.
