Dana Brooke made a surprise appearance on this week’s episode of NXT to enter the number one contender battle royal. The final four consisted of Brooke, Kiana James, Fallon Henley, and Cora Jade, but Thea Hail surprised everyone by popping back up and winning the match. Hail took advantage of Brooke and Jade battling to eliminate each other to toss them both and become the new number one contender for Tiffany Stratton’s NXT Women’s Championship. This week’s episode also saw Baron Corbin and Mustafa Ali making use of their free agent status to come after championships in the black and gold brand.
