The Rock and Jaw-Dropping Secret Guests Tease Unforgettable WWE SmackDown Tonight

There is buzz in the wrestling world tonight as several top names are rumored to be making appearances at WWE SmackDown. The event is set to take place at the Ball Arena in Denver, and speculation has been fueled by The Denver Post, which noted that many celebrities are in the area for The Rocky Mountain Showdown, a football game between Colorado and Colorado State at Folsom Field, which is also being broadcast on FOX.

One of the biggest names being talked about is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Earlier today, he did a live interview with Pat McAfee from the field, and McAfee himself is set to co-host ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday. Another familiar face from the wrestling world, Rob Gronkowski, who previously held the WWE 24/7 Championship and hosted WrestleMania 36, is scheduled to be a guest on FOX Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday as well.

While it has not been confirmed, a cast member from McAfee’s show reportedly told Fightful Select that both The Rock and McAfee will at least be in attendance at tonight’s SmackDown. However, it is unclear whether they will make a TV appearance or simply be there to enjoy the show.

It is worth noting that Folsom Field in Boulder, where The Rocky Mountain Showdown is taking place, is only about a 30-minute drive from the Ball Arena in Denver, where SmackDown will be held. This proximity has further fueled speculation about potential surprise appearances.

For those who may have missed it, The Rock recently spoke to McAfee about possible major WWE plans. You can read more about it here.
