Power Rankings are a common feature in the world of professional wrestling, but here at ProWrestlingWars.com, we like to do things a little differently. Instead of power rankings, we bring you the weekly Stock Report, where we identify three Superstars or groups of Superstars who are on the rise, and three whose stock is plummeting. This week was no exception, with several notable developments in the world of wrestling. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at whose stock decreased the most:
Stock Down #3: Apollo Crews
Since his return to the main roster, Apollo Crews has struggled to find success. Despite his undeniable talent, Crews has only competed in three matches on Raw since being drafted three months ago, and he has lost all of them. This week, he suffered yet another defeat at the hands of Damian Priest. It seems that Crews was actually better off with his previous Nigerian Warrior gimmick, which saw him achieve a victory over Big E for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37. Unfortunately, his time in NXT did not do much to boost his chances of success on the main roster.
Stock Down #2: Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green
Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green, the new WWE women’s tag team champions, had a disappointing start to their reign. In their very first match as champions, they were defeated by Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair in a non-title match. This booking decision only serves to highlight the lack of importance placed on the women’s tag team championships in WWE.
Stock Down #1: Liv Morgan & Kevin Owens
Liv Morgan and Kevin Owens both found themselves written off TV with injury angles on this week’s episode of Raw. While it is unclear if these injuries are legitimate or simply a storyline, it is unfortunate timing for both Superstars as they will now miss out on the upcoming SummerSlam event.
On the flip side, let’s take a look at the Superstars whose stock increased the most this week:
Stock Up #3: Bronson Reed
Bronson Reed has been on a winning streak since the start of June, with victories over the likes of Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Tommaso Ciampa. While he may not have a match scheduled for SummerSlam, these wins could be a sign of a significant push coming his way.
Stock Up #2: Karrion Kross
Despite some questionable booking decisions in the past year, WWE is not giving up on Karrion Kross just yet. On SmackDown, Kross had a dominant victory over Karl Anderson, showcasing his new finishing move, the Final Prayer. It seems that WWE is finally starting to utilize Kross to his full potential.
Stock Up #1: LA Knight
LA Knight’s inclusion in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at SummerSlam is a positive development for the popular WWE star. This opportunity shows that Knight’s push is far from fading or stalled. It is clear that WWE recognizes his popularity with fans and wants to give him a chance to shine on the SummerSlam stage.
