Summer Rae’s Passion for Storytelling Reignites: She’s Eager to Make Her Mark in Pro Wrestling Again!

Summer Rae Still Feels Like She Can Contribute To The Pro Wrestling Industry: “I Miss Storytelling”

Former WWE star Summer Rae may have stepped away from in-ring competition, but that doesn’t mean she’s done with the pro wrestling industry. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vilet, Rae expressed her desire to continue contributing to the industry through storytelling and highlighting up-and-coming talent.

Rae, who has been dealing with a bone spur on a vertebra in her neck and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, knows that she may not be able to wrestle every week due to her physical condition. However, she believes she can still make a significant impact by showcasing new talent and using her knowledge of the business to bring them up.

“I miss wrestling,” Rae said. “I constantly write ideas and pitches down and submit them to certain promotions. I have all these ideas that I miss, and I do want to be a part of it again. I think I have a lot more to give, especially from the standpoint of being present in the moment. I would do things so differently, so much more confident and have so much more fun with it.”

While Rae may not be able to step into the ring on a regular basis, she believes her purpose lies in highlighting and elevating other talents. “I don’t think that’s my purpose,” she said. “I think being able to highlight talents, and pull the best out of them, and make them the main thing, and showcase new younger talent and bring them up with what I know from the business. I would love to do something like that.”

This isn’t the first time Rae has spoken out about her desire to contribute to the wrestling industry. In a previous interview, she discussed her early days in WWE and how she was given a different gimmick name. You can read more about that here.

While Rae may no longer be an active competitor, her passion for storytelling and her desire to uplift new talent show that she still has much to offer the pro wrestling industry. It will be interesting to see if any promotions take her up on her ideas and pitches and give her the opportunity to make a significant impact outside of the ring.
