Lyra Valkyria won by pinfall with a reverse roundhouse kick in the NXT Women’s Championship Tournament Semifinals. After the match, Jade chop blocked Valkyria and blasted the back of her knee with a kendo stick shot. Ilja Dragunov blindsided Donovan Dijak with a knee strike as he was entering the building and followed it up with a chairshot and ramming him into a loading door. Axiom then faced Dark Order in the ring. Professional wrestling and NXT Women’s Championship Tournament Semifinal match were the topics discussed. Dabba-Kato defeats Axiom by pinfall with a sitout chokebomb. After the match, Dabba-Kato continued to attack Axiom, until Reginald came to make peace but was rejected. Gallus and The Creed Brothers face off in the ring. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo appears and the three brawl until Gallus retreats. Two NXT Championship matches will take place at Battleground: Carmelo Hayes against Bron Breakker and Gallus against Creed Brothers. Battleground 2021 is an upcoming NXT Event and Stand & Deliver was the event where Carmelo Hayes won the NXT Championship from Bron Breakker. Tyler Bate rolls up Eddy Thorpe for the pinfall victory! Tyler Bate defeated Eddy Thorpe in a competitive match with a roll up pin. Commentator Wes Lee paid special attention to the match due to Bate’s desire to challenge for the title. Before the match, John Cena and Batista were hyped for their #1 and #2 box office hits, Fast X and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 respectively. Fast X and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are the movies being promoted. Tyler says he’s not worried about Joe Gacy because he’s already beaten him, but he’s worried about Wes Lee, who cost him the match and then attacked him. He then called out Joe Gacy in the arena to set up the main event for next week.
Tyler Bate has won a match by pinfall with the Tyler Driver ’97, and post-match Joe Gacy appears to attack him. Wes Lee attempts to help, but ends up striking Tyler in the face and attacking both him and Joe. Lyra Valkyria is interviewed in the trainer’s room and will rehab all week to be ready for the finals. Nathan Frazer and Noam Dar had an intense wrestling match, trading uppercuts, lariats, drop downs, leaps, kicks, chest kicks, quebradas, inverted DDTs, big boots and enziguris. Gigi Dolin confronts Jacy Jayne about her issues with family and accuses her of running away from their joint success. WWE Jayne and Gigi will settle their score in a steel cage match next week, while Von Wagner and Luca Crusifino will settle theirs in the ring tonight. Jayne and Gigi upped the stakes and are having a weaponized cage match. Jayne accused Gigi of pandering to her fans on social media, while Gigi accused Jayne of being fake.
