Shingo vs Bonza headlines full card for TAMASHII in Sydney!

Grudge match tops Liberty Hall card

Saturday April 15 will see NJPW TAMASHII return to Sydney’s gorgeous Liberty Hall for more incredible action! After November saw the venue play host to the second ever TAMASHII card, the brand is now back, and with a very personal grudge match main event, tensions are sure to be high.

TAMASHII VI Liberty Hall TICKETS (Ringside, floor seats almost gone!)

Already announced is the main event between Rogue Army’s Jack Bonza and Shingo Takagi. The roots of Rogue Army, and arguably TAMASHII itself are in an autumn 2022 clash between Bonza and Takagi in PWA, and a surprise attack from Bad Luck Fale that left Shingo struck low and hungry for revenge. Shingo now gets his shot against Bonza, but there will be a deck stacked against him as Fale’s BULLET CLUB subgroup looks to exapnd its sphere of influence at any cost.

Rogue Army are also in effect in semi main event tag team action, as Fale and Lyrebird Luchi team up to face Hirooki Goto and Richard Mulu. Mulu’s power and raw charisma have made him a firm fan favourite in TAMASHII, and set him clearly apart from his New Zealand Dojo trainer Fale. With Goto as a guiding light, the two will look to strike a blow to the heart of the Rogue Army in Sydney.

Robbie Eagles goes head to head with Andrew Villalobos in Liberty Hall. Villalobos continues to show strong potential post NZ Dojo graduation, and will be put to the test by the Sniper of the Skies. New TMDK member Eagles has much to prepare for, with a singles main event the very next night in Melbourne against Shingo Takagi, and this openweight clash with the towering presence of Villalobos should help him do just that.

PWA’s Backman makes his TAMASHII debut alongside Mat Boyton, who wrestled in TAMASHII’s Liberty Hall debut last November as Mat Rogers. Backman may be a relatively new face to the TAMASHII only crowd, but he and Boyton will be default fan favourites when they take on the ever despicable self appointed paragons of good taste in SMS.

Currently 1-1 in his TAMASHII career with matches in both Sydney events to date, Carter Deams looks to leverage his most recent win over Jake Taylor into continuing momentum. Yet the ever enigmatic Mick Moretti’s psycopathic tendencies can play havoc with any kind of momentum Carter seeks to create. Who leaves with the upper hand?

With tag team competition always fierce in the TAMASHII ring, the popular fast rising stars of the Sydney space, Jude London and Paris De Silva’s Velocities team comes head to head with the combo of Kai Drake and Michael Spencer, MK Plus Ultra. Last October, London and De Silva ended MK+ Ultra’s reign as PWA Tag Team Champions; will the newcomers to TAMASHII repay that loss with a debut fatality in Sydney?

Kicking off the evening, Jessica Troy will take on Cherry Stevens. Back in February, Troy made TAMASHII history when she was victorious in the bran’s first ever women’s match over Charli Evans. Will PWA’s well read prospect Cherry Stephens cut Troy’s upswing short in Saturday in Sydney?
