Singh revealed that he had a close relationship with Marshall, considering him a good friend and coach who taught him everything he knows about wrestling. Singh shared a conversation he had with Marshall, where the latter informed him of his departure from AEW:
“I’m really sad. When I talk to Coach always, and he’s a really good friend of [mine]. He’s my coach, he teach me everything. So when I ask him last week, I said, ‘Hey Coach, are you coming this week? Because I’m going to India, I want to see you before I go.’ He [sent me a] message, he said, ‘I’m sorry, I missed AEW tonight, and I’m not coming anymore over there. So I hope I can come there, but I’m [leaving] AEW.’ I said, ‘Oh, seriously?’ He said, ‘Yeah.’ I was really sad.”
Singh expressed his admiration for Marshall’s coaching abilities, highlighting how Marshall helped him transition from being a basketball player with no knowledge of wrestling to becoming a proficient wrestler. Singh concluded by wishing Marshall good luck in his future endeavors and expressing his desire to continue learning from him.
Although rumors have circulated that Major League Wrestling (MLW) is interested in Marshall as both a talent and a coach, nothing has been confirmed regarding his future. Fans and industry insiders will have to wait for official announcements to learn where Marshall will end up.
