They weren’t fans. Roman Reigns is on his way to holding the WWE Universal Title for three years. That is an all time reign with the title and there is a change he is going to surpass some of the remaining champions above him on the list. Holding the title that long makes it difficult to fine challengers for him, but now some names have been thrown out to less than well received results.

According to WrestleVotes by way of GiveMeSport, Vince McMahon pitched several names as potential challengers for Reigns. However, some of the names were reportedly “scoffed at” by some people backstage in WWE. There is no word on who McMahon pitched as the next challengers for Reigns. A recent rumor said that Reigns is expected to face AJ Styles as his next challenger.

Opinion: The more I hear about McMahon’s ideas not being the most well received, the more interesting I find it. I’m almost curious to hear who McMahon pitched if it was that badly received. At the end of the day, Reigns is someone who needs some fresh challengers and it should be interesting to see who comes for his title next, even if it is one of McMahon’s ideas.
