In a recent interview with Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, Perez reflected on her early days in WWE and the process of discovering her identity within the company. She expressed her initial excitement about joining WWE and the opportunity to showcase her skills on a larger platform.
“When I first got here, I was just very happy to be here. I knew who I was on the independent scene, but I was really trying to find who I was in the WWE. I think that I realized that people think I’m an easy target, regardless of the things that I’ve been able to accomplish,” Perez said.
However, losing the NXT Women’s Championship proved to be a turning point for Perez. She admitted that the defeat triggered a newfound aggression within her, which she plans to unleash on Blair Davenport at the upcoming Great American Bash event.
“So I think finding that aggression in me, and I think losing the NXT Women’s Championship really triggered that aggression. The fact that Blair Davenport keeps poking at me, thinking I’m not going to retaliate, thinking I’m just this nice little girl, well something is coming for her this Sunday,” Perez declared.
This Sunday’s showdown between Perez and Davenport is highly anticipated, as fans are eager to witness the unleashed aggression from the former champion. The clash between these two fierce competitors is expected to be a highlight of the Great American Bash event.
