Ricochet reveals the fearless mindset behind his jaw-dropping high-flying maneuvers

WWE superstar Ricochet recently sat down for an interview on Insight With Chris Van Vilet to discuss his upcoming match at SummerSlam and the courage required to perform high-flying maneuvers in the ring. Ricochet, known for his incredible aerial skills, shared his thoughts on building up the courage to execute these dangerous moves.

According to Ricochet, courage is not something that can be built up over time. Instead, it is a split-second decision that must be made in the moment. He emphasized the importance of not overthinking the move, as doing so can decrease one’s courage. Ricochet explained, “You don’t build the courage up, you just gotta go. You can’t stop and think about it. Because if you stop and you think about it for a second, the courage is gonna go down.”

He further elaborated on his approach to performing high-flying maneuvers, stating that he never attempts anything that he believes is beyond his abilities. Ricochet aims to stay within his capabilities while still pushing the boundaries of what he can do in the ring. He added, “When I’m in there, it’s literally like a split-second decision, do it on the spot, because the more you sit there and think about it, the more the courage is going to go down, at least in my experience.”

During the interview, Ricochet was also asked about the move that hurts him the most. Without hesitation, he pointed to the 630, a gravity-defying maneuver where he flips forward and rotates 630 degrees before landing on his opponent. Ricochet acknowledged that the move is painful for both himself and his opponent, as any move that involves landing on someone can be uncomfortable. He mentioned Montez Ford’s Frog Splash from the rafters and his own Shooting Star Press as examples of moves that can cause discomfort for both parties involved.
