Orange Cassidy: “The Respect I Have For Jon Moxley Is Immense”

Orange Cassidy, one of the top stars in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), recently spoke about his deep respect for Jon Moxley, the new International Champion. Cassidy’s reign as champion came to an end at the All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago, where he lost to Moxley in a hard-fought match.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Cassidy joked about not being able to make Moxley bleed during their match. “For a guy who bleeds as much as Jon, I couldn’t get him to. I don’t know what that says about me,” Cassidy said. Despite not achieving that feat, Cassidy expressed his admiration for Moxley and the impact he has had on AEW.

“That’s the guy who put AEW on his shoulders when we needed carrying. The respect I have for Jon Moxley is immense,” Cassidy said. He highlighted Moxley’s leadership qualities and how his presence and actions make everyone in the company better both as professional wrestlers and as people. Cassidy acknowledged that facing Moxley in the ring often results in bloodshed.

While Cassidy may have lost the championship at All Out, he received praise from AEW fans for his fighting spirit and incredible performances over the past year. He attributed his success to the support of the fans and recognized their role in making him one of AEW’s biggest success stories.

“My trajectory through AEW is only because of the AEW fans. I appreciated the moment they gave me. They did that for me, but it wasn’t just for me. It was for them, too,” Cassidy said. He emphasized the importance of the fans and how they contribute to the success of the company. Cassidy believes that the fans deserve more credit for their dedication and support.
