On the market. Over the years, there have been some stars in wrestling who reach a level that few others are ever able to approach. Those wrestlers are among the top names in the history of the sport and it means a lot to have them around. While WWE has several of those wrestlers under contract, there is now one who is no longer working for them in any way.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is officially a free agent and can sign anywhere he wishes. There is no word on where he might be signing or who he might have had discussions with so far. Goldberg, 56, has worked for WWE on and off since 2016. His most recent match took place at Elimination Chamber 2022 when he lost to Roman Reigns.

Opinion: Goldberg is someone who could do well as a special attraction and maybe that is what we are going to be seeing at some point in the future. I’m not sure how much value there is in having him be the big force that he was before, but having him show up to run down some loudmouthed villain or be some kind of a mystery partner could work well. His intensity is still there and that plus his reputation are enough to have some value.
